"thank you to everyone at the Counselling Centre for what has been a such a fulfilling and in some ways life changing experience on the course".
"The Best and most inspiring course I've ever been on. The content was excellent, the direction was great and the support marvellous. My only regret is that right now is not the right time for me to continue to the diploma course, but I aim to in the not too distant future" - Certificate trainee
Value for money
Course fees are comprehensive and include seminars, an experiential group and tutorials.
For Diploma trainees, fees include the required clinical placement of 150 hours and supervision of this client work.
Diploma trainees are required to be in personal therapy, costs of which are additional to the course fees.
Professional Diploma courses require trainee counsellors to work with clients to develop their clinical skills. Finding a placement which provides sufficient and appropriate client work can be difficult. Sometimes it results in placements which can leave the student struggling or in a situation which undermines confidence.
At the Counselling Centre all Diploma students engage in placements within the Centre’s own BACP-accredited counselling service. This means training and clinical practice are integrated, coherent and congruent with the psychodynamic approach central to the work at the Centre.
