The Counselling Centre has 23+ years’ experience in professional training.

We are well respected in the counselling world and all courses are delivered to the highest professional standards.

We offer a Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling, which is a gateway course for the Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. accredited by the BACP.

We also offer a programme of CPD for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.

Value for money

Course fees are comprehensive and include seminars, an experiential group and tutorials.

For Diploma trainees, fees include the required clinical placement of 150 hours and supervision of this client work.

Diploma trainees are required to be in personal therapy, costs of which are additional to the course fees.

Clinical Placement

Professional Diploma courses require trainee counsellors to work with clients to develop their clinical skills. Finding a placement which provides sufficient and appropriate client work can be difficult. Sometimes it results in placements which can leave the student struggling or in a situation which undermines confidence.

At the Counselling Centre all Diploma students engage in placements within the Centre’s own BACP-accredited counselling service. This means training and clinical practice are integrated, coherent and congruent with the psychodynamic approach central to the work at the Centre.

Diploma students at TCC are eligible to apply for a NUS (National Union of Students) TOTUM card, which offers various benefits and discounts.
