Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (BACP Accredited)

Claire Allwood

Claire qualified in psychodynamic counselling in 2007 and worked for several years with individuals and groups in NHS secondary care psychotherapy services. She now supervises and facilitates reflective practice groups and teaches, alongside private practice.


Susan Blundell

Susan Blundell is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, member of the Guild of Psychotherapists, with a private practice in Tonbridge. She also has experience in the NHS and charity sectors, and a first career in education. She has nine years' experience as a seminar leader on our diploma programme. She is Head of Counselling and a group supervisor at The Counselling Centre.


Alex Duffield

As well working as a seminar leader at The Counselling Centre since September 2015 and a supervisor since September 2018 Alex has been in private practice since 2013 and an associate counsellor for an employment assistance programme since June 2013. Alex was an Associate Lecturer in psychodynamic counselling leading a case discussion group on the MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Birkbeck College, University of London in 2018/19. He has also worked as a counsellor in a hospice (2011 to 2014) and a charity supporting men who have been sexually violated (2010 to 2015) as well as volunteering as a counsellor at two community counselling services and at a university.


Linde Horseman

Linde Horseman is a BACP accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. She has experience working with adults, adolescents and children in primary and secondary schools and hospital settings. She obtained an MA in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice and she currently teaches Developmental Psychology, Foundation Counselling skills and also supervises at the Counselling Centre. She offers therapy and supervision in a private practice.


Stephen Millington

Stephen is a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist with experience of working individually with adults in a number of settings with a private practice in Hythe in Kent. He is also a qualified psychoanalytic supervisor and a UKCP registered supervisor. Stephen completed the 4-year diploma course at WPF in 2007, and subsequently the Diploma of Proficiency in Psychoanalytic Supervision from The Guild of Psychotherapists and is registered with UKCP, and a member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision (BAPPS). His experience as a supervisor is with qualified and training counsellors and psychotherapists, individually and in groups, in private practice and in clinical and training organisations.

Inthia Stacey

Inthia has been working as a seminar leader for Tunbridge Wells Counselling Centre since early 2018. She has been in private practice since 2014 and since 2019 has helped co-facilitate a therapy group in a forensic psychiatric unit with the NHS. She has also been working in a counselling charity since 2009. Inthia is a psychodynamically qualified counsellor, qualifying in 2009 with TCC and is currently completing her psychodynamic psychotherapist qualification with the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP).


Joan Wilson

Joan Wilson is a Jungian Analyst who trained at the Association of Jungian Analysts in London and is also a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist qualifying at WPF. She is a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychologists, UKCP and BPC. In addition to having a private practice in Kent, she supervises at TWCC and Sutton Counselling Services. In the NHS Joan is a senior psychotherapist, trainer and supervisor for the Woman’s Service that provides longer term therapy for adult survivors of sexual abuse. Joan has extensive experience of assessments and has provided workshops for this and other topics for several years.

In addition to the above core training team members, we welcome a number of visiting seminar leaders with specialisms in their subject area during the second year of the diploma.

Linde Horseman

Susan Whiting

Susan Whiting is a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and supervisor. She began her training at TCC and continued at WPF in London, graduating with an MA in psychodynamic studies from Roehampton University. She trained in individual supervision at BPF and has the IGA diploma in group supervision. She is an accredited member of the BACP, a professional member of BPC through FPC and she is also a member of BAPPS.
Sue currently works in a busy private practice alongside teaching and supervising both groups and individuals.
