Working Therapeutically with Disordered Eating and Eating Disorders

This one-day workshop offers a general introduction to counsellors working with clients for who disordered eating or eating disorders form part of the therapeutic work. It aims to offer a conceptual framework for understanding the misuse of food, using attachment theory, and then to offer a wide range of strategies for working with clients.
How to Become BACP Accredited

The Aim of the workshop will be to engage with the BACP accreditation process. We will consider how to complete the application form successfully and examine the stages of this process.

Trauma Workshop - Resolving Trauma in the present

Just as traumatic experiences impact on both the brain and the body, so does the concept of 'trauma' unify psyche and soma. This workshop will look at understanding what is meant by trauma; why and how old trauma is felt in the present; the on-going manifestation of trauma on the nervous system using Poly-vagal theory and the AIP model that EMDR is based on.
