Making an appointment

We have an appointments only system and cannot see anyone who ‘drops in’.

Appointments can be made either by telephone or email.

Please phone 01892 548750 between 10am and 3pm from Monday to Friday when there will be someone to take your call personally.  If you are unable to call within these times this telephone number has a confidential answer-phone which can take your message at other times.  Your call will be responded to on the next working day.

To contact us by email please email our administrator at

We will deal with all enquiries promptly and with complete confidentiality.

When you contact us we will offer you an assessment (for counselling) appointment, during which you will meet with an experienced assessment counsellor to explore the kind of help you are seeking.  Together you will decide whether counselling at the Centre is appropriate for you.  This session usually lasts up to 90 minutes.

If, after this first meeting, it is agreed that counselling is the most appropriate form of help for you, arrangements will be made for you to meet your own counsellor at the Centre for weekly 50 minute sessions.  There may be a short wait before on-going counselling begins.

The Counselling Centre is committed to working within a framework of equal opportunities and we offer alternative premises for anyone with physical disability as the Centre does not have disabled access.
