Managing loss when a loved one dies
We work with adults and children and young people, aged 5-18, facing the loss of a loved one.
The need for this service in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and surrounding areas is growing.
We accept referrals from adults in schools, family members, or other professionals such as GPs. If in doubt we are happy to receive your call and we will guide you.
Our volunteer practitioners all have in depth training and experience of working in this field.
Ordinarily a programme of support will take approximately 20 one to one sessions. But there is no set limit to the number of sessions we offer as we know that everyone is an individual needing to do things at their own pace.
We are a registered charity and so although this is not a free service we aim to make it affordable;
In the initial assessment appointment we meet with you to understand your exact circumstances and establish what you can afford to pay.
As an independent charity the Counselling Centre actively fund-raises year round to subsidise the cost of the work we do. Our mission, as a charity, is to offer support to the community which is professional and affordable to those who need it.
