Margaret Wilkinson

Margaret Wilkinson is a professional member of the Society of Analytical Psychology, London and an assistant editor of the Journal of Analytical Psychology. She teaches neuroscience research leading seminars for the Northern School of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at the University of Leeds and at The Society of Analytical Psychology, London, and has a particular interest in the adolescent 'mind brain'.

Margaret lectures internationally on contemporary neuroscience and its relevance to clinical practice and is the author of numerous papers. Her book ‘Coming into Mind. The Mind-Brain Relationship: A Jungian Clinical Perspective’ was published by Routledge in 2006. Her forthcoming book ‘Changing Minds’ is to be published by Norton in 2009. She is in private practice in North Derbyshire, England.

The Conference

During the conference, Margaret will present and share her insights on neuroscience, attachment and trauma from a clinical perspective. The conference will consist of formal presentations and will also include small work tasks. The topics covered will include ‘Developing Young Minds’ which will be useful for those in Education whilst enriching understanding of this stage of development for therapists who are often dealing with the adolescent within the adult patient.

The conference will be of great interest to all counsellors, psychoanalysts, psychoanalytic psychotherapists, teachers, students of psychoanalytic disciplines and all those working in the care professions.

A certificate of attendance for 5.5 CPD hours will be available.
